Luke Littler is 19 years old as of 29 October 2026. He was born on 21 January 2007 and will turn 20 on 21 January 2027. The English professional darts player reached his first senior world final at 16, won his first PDC world championship at 17 and successfully defended the title at 18.
For anyone asking “how old is Luke Littler”, those different ages explain why older headlines can seem confusing. His birthday falls shortly after the World Darts Championship final, so his age changes within weeks of the tournament ending.
Known as “The Nuke”, Littler developed through youth darts before competing against the sport’s leading professionals. His story includes major titles, substantial prize earnings and strong family support. Understanding the dates behind those achievements provides a clearer picture of both his current age and his unusually rapid career progression.
Luke Littler Net Worth
Luke Littler’s exact net worth is not publicly confirmed. His tournament earnings and commercial agreements demonstrate considerable financial success, but they do not establish a precise figure for his personal wealth.
His income comes from several sources:
- Tournament prize money.
- Sponsorship and equipment agreements.
- Licensed merchandise and commercial partnerships.
Littler received a £1 million first prize for winning the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship. In January 2026, his renewed Target Darts agreement was also reported to be worth up to £20 million over ten years.
The distinction between earnings and wealth matters. Prize money represents gross income before applicable deductions, while a long-term sponsorship headline may include future payments and contractual conditions.
Consequently, describing the entire potential value of that agreement as his current net worth would be misleading. Online wealth estimates should remain clearly labelled as estimates.
How Old Was Luke Littler When He Won?
Luke Littler was 17 years and 347 days old when he won his first senior PDC World Darts Championship on 3 January 2025. He defeated Michael van Gerwen 7–3 at Alexandra Palace in London.
That victory made him the youngest winner of the PDC world championship. It came just 18 days before his 18th birthday, explaining why coverage correctly described him as a 17-year-old champion.
His second senior world title arrived on 3 January 2026. He beat Gian van Veen 7–1 while aged 18, then turned 19 later that month.
The answer changes when discussing youth darts. Littler won the PDC World Youth Championship in 2023 at 16.
His main championship milestones therefore follow a clear sequence:
- 2023: PDC World Youth Champion at 16.
- January 2024: Senior world championship runner-up at 16.
- January 2025: First senior PDC world title at 17.
- January 2026: Second senior PDC world title at 18.
These are separate achievements, and keeping them distinct avoids confusion about when he first became a champion.
Luke Littler Date of Birth
Luke Littler’s date of birth is 21 January 2007. His official player information confirms that date and identifies Warrington as his hometown.
His sporting nickname is “The Nuke”, while Luke Littler is the name used in his professional player records. The nickname forms part of his tournament identity and merchandise branding.
Littler developed his ability through childhood practice and organised youth competition. His equipment sponsor’s biography records that he joined the St Helens youth academy at eight, giving him years of development before his senior breakthrough.
His junior record includes Junior Darts Corporation world titles in 2022 and 2023, followed by the PDC World Youth Championship in 2023.
That background gives useful context to his age. Although he was unfamiliar to many television viewers in late 2023, he already had experience of preparing for matches, competing under pressure and winning tournaments.
How Old Is Luke Humphries?
Luke Humphries is 31 years old as of October 2026. He was born on 11 February 1995 and will celebrate his 32nd birthday on 11 February 2027.
Humphries and Littler are different English professional darts players. Humphries competes under the nickname Cool Hand Luke, while Littler is known as The Nuke.
Their shared first name can create confusion, particularly when headlines shorten references to either player. Their careers are closely connected through several important matches, including Littler’s first senior world final.
Humphries defeated Littler in the PDC World Darts Championship final on 3 January 2024. Humphries was 28 at the time, while Littler was 16.
Littler later defeated Humphries in the 2024 Premier League Darts final, winning that competition at 17. These meetings help explain why searches for the two players frequently appear together.
How Old Is Luke Littler Date of Birth?
Luke Littler is 19 years old as of 29 October 2026, and his date of birth is 21 January 2007. He will turn 20 on 21 January 2027.
The most useful distinction is between his current age and his age when a particular achievement happened. His first senior world title will always be recorded as a victory achieved at 17, even as his current age increases.
His January birthday makes that distinction especially relevant. The World Darts Championship concludes early in the month, shortly before he becomes a year older.
For example, he won the January 2025 final at 17 and celebrated his 18th birthday later that month. The same pattern repeated in 2026, when he retained the title at 18 before turning 19.
Checking both his birth date and the tournament date resolves most apparent disagreements between reports.
How Old Is Luke Littler in 2026?
Luke Littler is 19 for most of 2026. He began the year aged 18 and celebrated his 19th birthday on 21 January.
His age during the year breaks down as follows:
- 1–20 January 2026: 18 years old.
- 21 January–31 December 2026: 19 years old.
- 21 January 2027: Turns 20.
His successful world championship defence happened during the first of those periods. On 3 January 2026, he defeated Gian van Veen to secure consecutive senior PDC world titles.
That result meant his first three appearances at the senior World Championship produced three finals: runner-up in 2024, champion in 2025 and champion again in 2026.
The sequence shows why his age attracts continuing attention. Before turning 19, he had already demonstrated that he could return to the same major event and repeat his success while carrying the expectations of a defending champion.
How Old Is Luke Littler Brother?
Luke Littler’s older brother Leon was described as 20 in a report published in January 2024. That would place him at approximately 22 or 23 in October 2026, depending on his birthday.
A reliably confirmed date of birth is needed to give his exact current age. Repeating the age from an older article without its original date would risk presenting outdated information.
Leon appeared in coverage of Littler’s first World Championship run because he worked at The Millhouse pub in Warrington. Supporters gathered there to watch Luke’s matches and celebrate his progress.
He has also spoken publicly about his younger brother’s enthusiasm for darts during childhood. Those recollections provide a family perspective on the years of practice behind Littler’s televised breakthrough.
Leon’s role in the public story is primarily that of a supportive older brother, rather than a professional darts player with the same level of published biographical information.
Luke Littler 16
Luke Littler became widely known at 16 during the 2023/24 PDC World Darts Championship. His run to the final brought him national attention before his 17th birthday.
He defeated established opponents, including Raymond van Barneveld, Brendan Dolan and Rob Cross, before facing Luke Humphries in the final on 3 January 2024. Humphries won the title, but Littler’s runner-up finish established him as a major new competitor.
His performances mattered because he maintained a high standard across several rounds. Heavy scoring created opportunities, while accurate finishing helped him turn those opportunities into match victories.
Later that January, still aged 16, Littler produced a televised nine-dart finish at the Bahrain Darts Masters. A nine-darter completes a standard 501 leg in the minimum possible number of throws.
His success continued after turning 17. During 2024, he won Premier League Darts, the World Series of Darts Finals and the Grand Slam of Darts, before taking his first senior world title in January 2025.
These results explain why “Luke Littler 16” remains associated with his breakthrough. However, the answer to “how old is Luke Littler” today is 19. The clearest account of his career separates that current age from the ages attached to his early achievements.
